Pražská Tržnice

Pražská tržnice (sometimes called Holešovická tržnice), in the center of Holešovice, is a great example of a functioning Prague open air market in the secession architectural style. Originally used as a slaughter house from 1895, you’ll now find a variety of shops, stands, and restaurants which have revitalized the space. Amongst an abundance of Vietnamese-run stands with cheap goods and clothes you’ll find:

  • Trang An, one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Prague for pho
  • A massive daily produce market including a farmer’s market on Saturdays at “Hala 22
  • Jatka 78, an alternative space used for theater and more
  • An authentic Czech secondhand store
  • Trafo Galerie, a beacon of contemporary and DIY Czech art
  • Mint Weekend Market, a market of local designers of all things cool
