Boho Vintage Concept Store, a once successful pop-up turned permanent store, is located in the hip district of Vršovice and should be your go-to for hand-picked vintage fashion and relics. In a world where ‘fast fashion’ creates a hunger for those in society to continuously revamp their closets with clothes made from cheap labor and materials, ‘Boho’ serves as an exemplary display of sustainable (and incredibly fashionable) shopping.
Open for four years, this store is a family affair run by a couple from Slovakia. I spoke to Patrick, husband of the store visionary, Patricia. He joked that the store was a byproduct of having too much clutter at home. Patricia finds the items for the store at flea markets, ensuring that every item is unique and, of course, vintage. Every single item, for this reason, is unlike the next. Aside from the clothes, one may notice that each piece of furniture in the store has been re-purposed from something else: the cashier desk is an old carpenter’s work table; the center shelf is two lockers turned on their side.
