In the beautiful secession-style hall, called “Hala 22,“ the largest market in the Czech Republic with 3,000 sq. meters and 85 different stands offers a selection of all things fresh and local. Hala 22 is a part of Pražská Tržnice (Prague Market). Open everyday except for Sunday, a sortiment of fruits, vegetables, and other items (cheese, eggs, free range raised meat) awaits you. On Saturdays it becomes a Czech-style farmer’s market with local farmers selling their products of fish, cheese, hormone-free meats, juices, honey, and more. In the spring, Hala 22 is a great place to pick up starter plants for your garden. Also, if you bring an empty plastic bottle, you can take advantage of the permanent bio milk machine onsite.
