U sudu

U sudu (translation: at the barrel) is the best of both worlds with a wine bar upstairs and an underground, cave-like labrinth downstairs. You can challenge locals to a game of foosball, but be careful not to take any bets as Czechs are pretty much pros when it comes to this favorite bar game of theirs.  The main advantage of U sudu is it’s location: you can stumble to Wenceslaus Square in minutes or to Lazarská tram stop, which is the main transfer spot for the majority of night trams.  Mostly tourists and students on sojourn in Prague wet their whistles here, but you’ll surely find some locals scattered about; probably more than a few who will be more than happy to impress you with their English vocabulary and charming, Czechish accents.
