On Krymská, one of the trendiest streets in Prague, you can find the latest edition to the city’s repertoire of queer cafe-bars. Unlike many other cafes, this one welcomes a crowd of queer people of all genders and orientations. Patra is the brainchild of the team behind Mezipatra Queer Film Festival, Prague’s one and only film festival by and for the LGBTQ community.
Patra is divided into two sections: the cafe downstairs and the multi-purpose community space upstairs. The cafe gives off rustic hipster vibes, with exposed brick walls and empty beer bottles holding flowers on every table. Most tables are also decorated with artsy-looking queer people of all ages. The community space hosts Mezipatra events, film screenings, various workshops, and art exhibits.
