This small, central cafe/bar is predominantly populated by the student crowd. It’s cheap and unpretentious, two qualities which are hard to come by in the center of Prague. Things you can count on: it will be smoky and buzzing with conversation. It’s a popular place, so if it’s packed (and it usually is), do as the Czechs do and ask to join a table of strangers. A good time to come is during happy hour (15:00-16:00) when it’s buy one beer and get the second free. Cheap eats are available, as well as a few tiny sidewalk tables during the warmer months.
