Vnitroblock is the newest of Prague’s multi-functional cultural centers, a contemporary space which meshes several art forms into one with a design store, cafe, dance studio, art exhibits, and even an underground cinema.
The store is full of clothes from the brand Signature as well as from local artists in Europe: mainly the Czech Republic. The store is curated so beautifully that having a coffee at one of the tables placed right in the middle of it all makes one feel in the middle of a delicately curated art exhibit (which also exists in this space).
If one chooses to go underground at Vnitroblock, they would find a cinema seating 25 lucky people. This intimate cinema holds events for movie screenings and director Q & A’s quite regularly. Upstairs there is a dance studio where dance classes of all types are available for all levels of dancers. The cafe, which is intertwined with everything else in the space, is amazing. Other than the yummy pastries and chlebíčky (open-faced sandwiches) you can enjoy with your coffee, there is a bar as as well as a daily menu with delicious small plates.
Vnitroblock holds events often, highlighting local artists, sustainable initiatives, and cinematic screenings. The space is immersive and open to anyone regardless of age and origin. Its small sign makes it easy to miss, but make sure to look out for this one – it’s really worth it.
